To promote the latest version of our software, we’re offering a free one-year license for USB Safely Remove during the week of February 10th - 16th, 2008! While you're waiting for the key, you can still enjoy the full features of USB Safely Remove!
So exactly what is USB Safely Remove? It's a program that resolves the most common problems related to the Windows “Safely Remove Hardware” or “Unplug or Eject Hardware” functions! Any user of a USB device that is frequently removed and reinstalled, like a flash drive, will often encounter the following two issues:
First, when there are multiple devices, such as a card-reader, a USB disk, a flash drive and a mobile phone, all connected to the computer at the same time, you may see 4 identical lines such as “Safely remove USB mass storage device” in the native safe removal or eject menu. This makes it difficult to find the desired device to disconnect, but very easy to accidentally disconnect another one. If you have an integrated card-reader, the unintended disconnection normally requires a restart of the computer in order to return its ability to read memory cards, which affects your productivity.
USB Safely Remove solves this by providing a detailed device list with customizable images, and also allows custom naming or hiding a device from the list.
Second, have you seen this message (“The device cannot be stopped right now. Try to stop the device later”) when you’ve attempted to disconnect a USB device?
Active USB device users have already, or will likely see this message quite often. Unfortunately, Windows doesn't inform you why the device cannot be stopped. Many users, in this case, just pull the device out, which may lead to data loss, or even to its damage. So when another process is preventing the device from being stopped,
USB Safely Remove shows exactly what the cause is, and allows you to force a stop of the device, thus allowing its safe removal.
In addition, USB Safely Remove can fully replace the native Windows function, and also provides some other unique features, such as auto-run of a program after device insertion and/or before stopping it. This feature is very useful for the automatic launch of a file manager, or for integration with TrueCrypt. Users who prefer to do things quickly via the keyboard will like the ability to disconnect devices with a customizable hotkey.
USB Safely Remove is being continually enhanced, and new features are in development, so get your copy of this unique productivity tool now during our free giveaway week of February 10th - 16th, 2008!
