Sorry for the late reply...
Actually, my card reader is integrated in my screen, so I don't know the details...
But my screen is a "Dell 2408WFP" if it can help you.

Thanks !

Thanks for your answer Igor.
I verified the option "Hide icon when there are no devices to be stopped", and it is already checked...
It seems it doesn't work when "Show tooltip only for displayable devices" is also checked...

The problem is, if I check "Show tooltip only for displayable devices", the popup balloon doesn't appear, but the green arrow icon of USB Safely Remove still appears and even remains this time ! (It should disappear...)

Pop-up balloon bug in USB Safely Remove 4 Beta 7

Hello, I have just noticed a little bug in Safely Remove. When a device is in the "Hidden from the menu" list, it is still displayed in a pop-up balloon when it is plugged in... (In this case, I'm talking about a SD card reader. Since it is integrated in my screen, the balloon pops up ever...

Hello Igor !

I have tried the latest version (beta 5), but the problem remains, unfortunately... Do you think it will be corrected in one of the future betas ?
It would be really great :-)
Thanks !

Hello, And since it's not really useful (I know it will be mounted every time I turn on my monitor...) and a little bit annoying, it could be great if the option "Show tooltip only for displayable device" worked (without having the bug with the green arrow staying afterwards, as mentioned...

Hello, A last thing concerning my latest posts and problem : Your proposition worked, but I wondered if it would be possible to correct the bug even with the option "Show tooltip only for displayable device" enabled ? Actually, I turned it on because each time I turn on my monitor, I have ...

Yes, it seems that it's the same device that manages the USB hub and the card-reader (anyway, they are both integrated in the monitor. So I can't be absolutely sure, but since there is only one entry "Generic Flash HS-COMBO USB Device" in the main program windows, I think that's the case).

Yes of course, here it is : http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a392/Kilvearn/safelyremove.jpg It's the selected entry. (In the "hidden" category, but when I turn on my monitor, USB Safely Remove shows the hub 3-4 seconds before disappearing) : http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a392/Kilvearn...

I tried your proposition, and it worked !
Now when I turn my monitor on, I have a tooltip that appears with the green arrow telling me that the USB hub has been plugged, but it then disappears ! :-)

Thanks a lot !

P.S. I'd like to specify one thing. What does "screen" mean? Sorry for my English, I translated from French... I mean "monitor" (More precisely if it can help : I have a Dell LCD monitor with an integrated USB hub and a multi-card reader (SD-card, etc.) ) When I turn off the mon...

The problem is solved, thanks a lot !! :-) But I still have my other problem : when I shut down my screen (that has a USB Hub and a multi-card reader on it) and put it back on, the green arrow appears and remains (even if there is no inserted card in the reader, and I have enabled the option to hide...

Ok, I have reproduced the bug with my screen's card reader, and sent you the report as you asked ! I also noticed another bug (sorry...) : In the options, I have selected the option that hides the icon where there is no device to disconnect. I also enabled the option to hide empty drives in the expl...

Thanks a lot ! For my first bug, I sent you a report as you asked. It's a strange one, but not really a big one, so it's no big deal... I also noticed that the program window sometimes "takes priority" over the other programs (Just as I'm writing this post, letting the main window of "...
