I have just tried rebooting with the eSATA device disconnected. Once I had reached my desktop, I physically connected the eSATA device and it was detected by SafelyRemove. However, despite being detected, the device was still listed as disconnected (big red X on the icon). So I tried reconnecting th...

OK, it looks like I may have spoken too soon. Everything was working fine, but then I needed to reboot my PC. I left the external drive connected during the reboot, but when I got back to my desktop after the restart, instead of the device being detected by SafelyRemove it showed as disconnected. I ...

Hi again Igor. I downloaded your 'working version' of beta 5 (linked in your previous post) and I am delighted to report that it finally works on my system!! 8) For the first time ever I have been able to successfully stop a non-USB device (in this case it was my external hard drive in an IcyDock eS...

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me Igor. I do appreciate it. I have today downloaded beta 5 of v4.0 and I can confirm that the ROOT\LEGACY_PARPORT\0000 device is no longer visible. Even better news is that my SATA / eSATA devices are now finally showing in the list!! 8) If I am not mistake...

Re: Win2000 Server / SATA Drive Bay / Safely Remove

Win2000: Yes, this is the only reason I'm trying SafelyRemove 3.3.1 The reason that I installed it is to help with removing an "IcyDock" drive bay. It's a SATA bay and drive enclosure. I am also using an IcyDock enclosure, but it's the tool-less version (MB-664US-1S). It generally works f...

Hi Igor, thank you very much for kindly agreeing to giving consideration to my idea. I know my suggestion is not as important as non-GUI issues, but I have to say that one of the things that attracted me the most to your program is that you took the time to make it look so nice (which makes it feel ...

Enhancement request - Improve Tray Icon Options

Hi Igor. I have only recently discovered your excellent program and I'm seriously considering buying it, so I am very pleased to hear that Windows 2000 support is to be continued (because it's the only Windows OS that I use). :) However, there is one thing that is putting me off, and that's the limi...

Re: SHILCreateFromPath error!

It's a bug in this beta and we will try to win back support of Win 2000 as soon as possible. I am very pleased to hear that Windows 2000 compatibility will be retained in SafelyRemove. Thank you for continuing to support this particular OS. I look forward to testing the beta as soon as Win2000 comp...
