SafelyRemove detects my DVD Rom as a card Reader every time i insert a DVD, it says memory inserted, and when eject, memory ejected, I have vista ultimate x64 sp1, quad core q6600, 4 gb ram, and my reader is an TSST SH-S182D, with latest firmware. What could be the problem?

Hi Peln2000,
I'm sorry for the delay.

This is not a problem, this is a normal (but I agree, not obvious) behaviour.
1. The program detects and displays an information message everytime when a user insert or eject media from a device. By "media" we understand any ejectable storage: memory card, DVD\CD drives and even floppy drives.
2. You are using Spanish version of the program and maybe there is an incorrect translation of the message. That message should be read as: "Media D: was ejected\inserted".

What do you think about this behavior? Should we display this message or it would be more simplier not ot display it?

Yes it is ok, but ...

Yes it is ok to display the message, but i think it is unnecesary, because media is not inserted by a magical energy, you need to insert media. So i think is ok. It doesnt botter me. But i think the translation need to be optimized. Thanks for your help. This forum is awesome. And dont worry for the delay. You are developers, so you need time to do things the correct manner. So, take care, and thanks again.

Peln2000, thank you for the reply! However I didn't understand well. Do you vote to remove this message (as you said it's unnecessary) or you think we should leave it (as you said: it's ok)? :)

My vote
