Bug: TrueCrypt-disk doesn't stop
Posted: Aug 14th, 2009, 7:33 am
Hi all,
I mount a TrueCrypt harddisk using "Device Properties" and AutoRun of the tool. Mounting works: when the disk is started, I am asked for the password by TrueCrypt. But when I try to unmount, I see that actually the TrueCrypt device is unmounted but the window "Trying to stop USB devices" does not disappear, i.e. the tool hangs. When I try to unmount for a second time, I get an error messge saying there is no TrueCrypt drive to remove (which is correct because it has already been successfully removed by TrueCrypt!) and then the USB drive is successfully removed by "USB Safely Remove".
The protocol file shows for this event:
New exception(4.1.5.800):
Delphi exception, type Exception, message: RequestUSBDeviceEject. Device with PNP Name: USB\VID_04FC&PID_0C25\SAMSUNG_HDS13PJ1KPB03642______ does not exist in the list now

So it appears to me that there is a crash somewhere.
Does anyone else have this problem, is this a (known) bug?
I am using XP SP3 and release 4.1.5.800.
Thanks, Stefan
