Run on Windows on Startup... not working

Post by AndyBell »

I have set the Run on Windows on Startup option. It's not working.

I'm on XP Professional, SP3 and USB Safely Remove V4.2.4.845

Instead, a Windows Explorer gets started showing folder: C:\Program Files\USB

This key is in my registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run : USB Safely Remove, value: C:\Program Files\USB Safely Remove\USBSafelyRemove.exe /startup

I think it's failing because it is not a quoted string. But if I add the quotes, USB Safely Remove removes them when it starts up or shuts down...

Hi Andy!

In future we will try to fix this bug. Now to workaround this problem I can recommend you to:
1) Either rename C:\Program Files\USB forlder to something different, like "C:\Program Files\USBDrives"
2) Or install the program to another folder, for example "C:\Program Files\USBSafelyRemove" (yes, without spaces in the name of folder).
