Hi all,

I use an integrated card reader on my pc.

Is it possible to hide it from the tray menu when no card is inserted ?

I want to see it in the remove tray tray only if a card ( or many cards ) is inserted in it.

Thank's for response

-Nova.

Hell Nova!
Thank you for the question! The requested behaviour is the "by-default" behaviour of the new program version - 4.0 (http://safelyremove.com/usbsafelyremovesetupbeta.exe). Everything you need - to enable option "Hide drive letters when there are no media inserted" (Options dialog -> Drive letters tab, also program will suggest you to enable this option if it finds the card-reader). Please try this and tell me if this is what you need or not.

Hi Igor,

If I don't hide letters, the card reader appear like this:

and it appear like this if I hide the letters:

In the second case the device itself appear, ( but not the letters ) event if there is no card inserted in...
What I expect is to hide the device if it is empty.

Thank's for response.

Probably you have being manually changed the device visibility, so now the program in any cases displays this device.
You should set its visibility up as autodetectable by the program. In order to do it, please open device properties and set option "Hide this device from the tray menu" in to the "grayed state" (it's not checked and not "unchecked - it's a third state of a checkbox). Please see an example below:

Hi Igor,

Yes I have changed this manually. Why ? because when the device is hidden, nothing append when I insert a card .... What do you think about that ?

It's not problem. We will think how can we make this behaviour setting up more intuitive, but now you need to change this option to the grayed state as shown on image above.
