I have a Dymo Labelwriter 400 connected direct to my PC via USB. It does not show as a device or have a drive allocated. Is there a reason for this?

Thank you for your message.
Tell me please, a native Safely Remove Hardware icon sees your device?

No, it is not showing. I only ask because my main printer is showing.
It is also not registered in MY COMPUTER.
The label machine is working perfectly.

I think "Dymo Labelwriter 400" is so-called SurpriseRemoval device.
This means that the device can be removed from the computer at any time.
The new version of USB Safely Remove (which will be released in a couple of days) will be able to see your "Dymo Labelwriter 400". Watch for news on the site.

Hi Maurice,
You can try the latest beta - 4.0 bet 6:
http://safelyremove.com/usbsafelyremovesetupbeta.exe
It has an option "Display surprise removal devices" which is enabled by default.
