Pop-up balloon bug in USB Safely Remove 4 Beta 7

Post by Kilvearn »

Hello,

I have just noticed a little bug in Safely Remove. When a device is in the "Hidden from the menu" list, it is still displayed in a pop-up balloon when it is plugged in...
(In this case, I'm talking about a SD card reader. Since it is integrated in my screen, the balloon pops up every time I turn my screen on, even if I put it in the "Hidden from the menu" category)

Thanks a lot in advance ! :-)

Hi Kilvearn,
I'm sorry for the delay with the response.

If you mean a popup balloon that displays information about the device connection, you should check if you have enabled "Show tooltip only for displayable devices" option at "Notifications" tab of the options.

The problem is, if I check "Show tooltip only for displayable devices", the popup balloon doesn't appear, but the green arrow icon of USB Safely Remove still appears and even remains this time ! (It should disappear...)

Kilvearn, I'm sorry again for the delay with response.

"Show tooltip only for displayable devices" only control behavior of tooltips (which are notifications about such events as removing or inserting the device). You should enable "Hide icon when there are no devices to be stopped" options at "Look and Feel" tab to achieve wished behavior.

Thanks for your answer Igor.
I verified the option "Hide icon when there are no devices to be stopped", and it is already checked...
It seems it doesn't work when "Show tooltip only for displayable devices" is also checked...

Interesting... Could you send me your card reader's technical information. Just place it to this thread.

Sorry for the late reply...
Actually, my card reader is integrated in my screen, so I don't know the details...
But my screen is a "Dell 2408WFP" if it can help you.

Thanks !

I'm sorry too for the delay,

In order to get technical details please open device properties in USB Safely Remove and then switch to "Technical Information" tab, press "Copy to clipboard" button there and paste text to the forum.
