one key hotkey

I wanna stop device by single key, but app force me to set combination of two keys.
Can i somehow set one hotkey?

I'm sorry for so late response. Can you give me an example which certain keyboard keys do you mean by a "single key"? You'd like to stop a device by pressing e.g. "A" or "B"?

hey, i often use external devices and currently to stop im using combination ALT+X
But more comfortable to me would be set single button which I never use
I wanted select to this button on pic. But it could be also: Insert, Home, End, Pause Break, Scroll Lock, Left alt, Left ctrl, Left shift.

I think you can't use this key because it is the default left mouse click key on the keyboard. Wait for an expert's answer.
