I think I posted this in the wrong forum the first time so here it is again...
Has anyone ever read/done a study on what the expected failure rate of a USB device is? I realize that I can do the math based on insertion/removal and typical usage. But what I am looking for is something that would more resemble a 'bathtub' curve. Assuming that of say 10000 units you will have an expected failure rate in the first few days of release, infancy, then it would level off for some period of time and eventually begin to climb again as the product reaches the end of it's lifecycle.
Searching the web I have found little beyond standards of read/write cycles or insertion/removal.
Thanks in advance.
