Hi
I would like the following "feature" in the next version of Safely Remove
Really make invisible some selectable devices

Now, I have three devices hidden
Logitech mouse receiver connected via USB
Two partitions of system SATA connected via mainboard card

Thanks in advance
Ludwig :P

Hi Ludwig,
At the moment we are working on significant improving of USBSR UI and think of fully removing the "hidden devices" link. What do you think if these hidden devices will be visible only in the main window and there's no link "hidden devices"?

Hi
Thanks for your answer

Showing hidden devices only in main window and not in little window is OK
Its only cosmetic, but showing hidden Logitech-mouse-receiver was a little disturbing
Sounds good, waiting for the next release

Thanks for that good product
Ludwig

Sorry, but I fully disagree with the statements here. As someone who continually installs new hardware, or sees the already installed hardware shuffeled around for unknown reasons (you gotta love plug&pray and external USB hubs) I sometime only see new hardware presented as hidden device. Then I can easily unhide it. Not showing that it really had been installed and/or is already present in the system would be a major drawback in usability of USR. I don't want to to go to the main screen just to check that there MIGHT be something more!

So IF you think about removing the hidden device note in the popup, then make it an option (which is off by default). Or you will disappoint lots of hardcore users of your software.

Hallo

Using new version 501, I am a little sorry
Its again showing "1 device is hidden" (its a logitech mouse receiver)
May be you think at me with next version and can not show the hidden text ?

Have a nice day

Hi Ludwig, if you wish to hide this text (as well as others buttons) you can enable the option "Simple menu" (Options -> Look and Feel). After you enable it there will be no control buttons at all including the mentioned link. However you can always access the option, the hidden devices and etc via right click menu of the system tray icon.
